Having been in the retail business for almost 15 years, I've had the opportunity to deal with a huge variety of customers and vendors.  If everybody did business the way that RMM does, business would be a lot more enjoyable than it often is.  Mac and Sharon are first rate folks who are honest, straight forward, and always act with integrity. 

I first met Mac as a student pilot contemplating the purchase of a Mooney.  I had read a lot about the planes but didn't have any real world experience with them.  Mac was gracious enough to take me for a flight and explain all the Mooney goodness that the type possesses.  When it was clear that Mac wasn't representing a plane that really fit my mission, he acted as a great resource and helped me locate and purchase an E model, all for a very reasonable fee.  When the time came to upgrade, the F model seemed like the perfect choice for the longer airframe and great avionics.  As always, Mac was very helpful and facilitiated a test flight.  We flew the airplane until I was very comfortable with the plane and its capabilities.  In the entire process, he never tried to forcefully close the sale.  He simply told me that if I liked the plane, he'd help us get the deal done.  After we settled on a final price, he arranged for the pre-buy and went flying with me for a couple of days just to be sure I was comfortable with the new plane. 

The fact that Mac was close geographically was a bonus, but I wouldn't hesitate a bit to travel to do business with Rocky Mountain Mooney.  You simply won't find a more knowledgable and friendly aviation expert than Mac.  I'm glad that we got to do business together but even happier to count him as a valued friend.

 Just wanted to drop you a line to say THANKS!!!  9289M was my first plane and was hard to decide to let her go.  You worked well with me over the two separate times we tried to sell her.  Knowing the market was not the best your advice was well appreciated during this process.

We are over 100 hours into our purchase of this, our first, Mooney and couldn't be happier.  For anyone on the fence about whether to buy a Mooney, do it.  For anyone on the fence about whether to buy your Mooney from Mac...BE SURE to do it!  We exercised our due diligence when reseaching this airplane and we were also interested in the C206, Saratoga, and Bonanza.  No airplane can compete with this one, especially when you factor in fuel and speed.  The only reason to buy anything else would be that you need to move 4-6 people on the majority of your trips.  This airplane fit 99% of our missions and after having taken the airplane to Florida, Kansas, Indiana, South Carolina (not to mention the flight back to New Jersey from Colorado) it has fulfilled its purpose and been a shining example of a purchase that will shatter buyers remorse (we have none).  When we decided that this was the model of airplane, we began our search and if you are looking for pre-owned, Mac, you will find, is at the top of the list.  His and Sharon's experience in Mooneys is extensive and their expertise is invaluable.

Mac, I'd like to thank you for taking the extra time on the pick-up day to get me familiar with the airplane.  I'm a CFI with Mooney time but it was quite comforting to spend just an hour or two flying with Mac in the airplane before we took delivery.

On our first flight (out of Boulder. CO), the flight home, we saw everything that this plane could possibly encounter.  We flew in the day and into the night, IMC, into ice, above the ice, above the clouds in the flight levels, and landed in snowfall.  And through all of this, our new Mooney performed brilliantly.  Thank God for TKS.

Over the first month, I had a number of questions about the nuances of the airplane, it being our first.  Not only did Mac take the time to answer my questions, I felt completely at ease asking him of his time because he makes you feel like family and goes out of his way to make the transition into this great airplane safe and fun.

In just over 7 weeks of ownership of this airplane, we have logged over 100 hours.  I highly recommend this airplane and I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Mooney.
