My wife Sharon and I started Rocky Mountain Mooney in 1997 and were among the original 9 factory Mooney Marketing Centers.  Our sales grew with the demand for new Mooney aircraft and soon we were "Top Performers" in sales and "Quota Busters" for Mooney Aircraft Corporation in 1998,1999 and 2000. 

But our love for Mooneys began years earlier in 1989.

Like others, we had rented our share of aircraft and longed for our own.  After  exhaustive research in 1989 on what aircraft manufacturer to go with and which model to buy, we settled on a Mooney 252TSE.  We owned our beloved Mooney well into our Mooney Marketing Center years.  We decided to sell our personal Mooney in 1999 only because we were so busy with Rocky Mountain Mooney flying demonstrator aircraft, we were finding little time to fly our own 252.

I am a private pilot with an instrument rating and have accumulated over 3,200 hours total time.  Nearly 2,900 hours have been in Mooney aircraft of all types and 2,100 of those hours in turbocharged Mooneys.  While I don't claim to know all there is to know about Mooney aircraft, I do possess real world experience flying and knowlege maintaining Mooneys from an owner's perspective.  Our customers have found this real world information informative and valuable as they too decide on which new or used aircraft to purchase.

Mooney aircraft aren't for all missions.  For instance, if you need six seats often or a large rear door for loading bulky articles, Mooneys aren't for you.  However, the modern extended fuselage Mooneys do support the transportation of items such as mountain bikes and golf clubs.  While we deal primarily in Mooney PCA (Premium Condition Aircraft) aircraft, we also have assisted our customers with the purchase of other manufacture's aircraft that may fit their typical missions better than a Mooney does.
